Drive Shots

Drive shots are fast, flat strokes that travel straight over the net, used to pressure your opponent.

Technique

  1. Forehand Drive:
    • Grip: Use the forehand grip.
    • Stance: Stand with feet shoulder-width apart.
    • Swing: Swing the racket in a straight, horizontal motion. Use your wrist to generate speed.
    • Follow-through: Keep the follow-through short and sharp.
  2. Backhand Drive:
    • Grip: Use the backhand grip.
    • Swing: Similar to the forehand drive but on your backhand side. Use a flicking motion with your wrist.
    • Follow-through: Maintain a short follow-through for control.

Key Points

  • Use quick, short swings.
  • Focus on speed and precision.
  • Aim for the shuttlecock to travel just above net height.
